Sara Mermis

Sara is a 2017 graduate of Salina Central High School and a 2021 graduate of the University of Kansas, where she earned a degree in Political Science with minors in Business and German.

Originally planning for medical school, Sara redirected her path toward politics following the 2016 election—a turning point that deepened her passion for public policy and governance. She has since gained hands-on experience in political research, served as an intern with the Kansas House of Representatives, and aspires to pursue a career in corporate law.
